Potential analytical interferences when measuring Tmax during temperature programmed pyrolysis of hydrothermally altered volcanoclastic sediment

چکیده
Abstract The temperature of maximum pyrolysis yield (known as Tmax) can be used to determine the level thermal alteration in sedimentary organic matter; higher Tmax values represent alteration. is commonly measured on petroleum source rocks or similar sediments with high carbon contents. It would desirable measure volcanic because they have complex patterns However, often low total contents and consequently are susceptible analytical interferences. Despite this, it shown that meaningful measurements still made sediment 0.2% interference caused by bitumen ionizable salts mitigated solvent extraction rinsing water. Thus, reasonable use programmed assess levels even volcanoclastic sediments.

Analytical systems ranked by freedom from interferences.
We determined the effect of hemolysis, lipemia, and bilirubinemia on clinical-chemical analytical results under standardized conditions, for serum specimens prepared by us. Our purpose was to assess results obtained with 22 commonly available analytical systems. The quantitative rating scheme described is derived from the observed interference(s) divided by the number of analytical methods eval...
متن کاملMechanisms of arsenic and lead release from hydrothermally altered rock.
This paper describes the effects of pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), redox conditions, and mixing ratio of different rocks on the leaching behaviors of As and Pb from hydrothermally altered rock as well as the functional groups incorporating As and Pb in the rock. Most of As and Pb were incorporated in the residual or crystalline phase although significant amounts were also determined to be exchangea...
متن کاملMonophasic action potential duration during programmed electrical stimulation.
UNLABELLED To examine changes in monophasic action potential duration (APD) with a pacing protocol similar to that used during electrophysiological testing, action potentials were recorded in vivo from the left ventricular apical endocardium of 12 normal mongrel dogs. The atrioventricular node was ablated and the dogs paced from the anterior right ventricle at a baseline cycle length of 1000 ms...
متن کاملEffect of pyrolysis temperature on potential toxicity of biochar if applied to the environment.
Biochars have increasingly been used as adsorbents for organic and inorganic contaminants in soils. However, during the carbonization process of pyrolysis, contaminants, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polychlorinated dioxins and furans (PCDD/DF) can be generated. In this study, biochars made from sawdust, were prepared at various temperatures ranging from 250 to 700 °C. T...
